My husband Frank and I are the heart and soul behind Paradise in Portugal and we believe that we've created the perfect place for your transformative retreat journey. Frank already started out in 1987 and has been joined by me in 2007. Together we've created a sanctuary of peace which provides the opportunity for reconnection with the natural world. The Quinta is the perfect space for individuals and groups to escape the stresses of daily life and experience profound healing and personal growth.

3 months agoIf you want to be off the beaten track and just relax, the Quinta is the place for you. It is set far away from touristy places in the Alentejo, right at the Albufeira da Barragem de Santa Clara, a wonderful lake. The quinta itself is set in a beautiful garden and offers cute rooms, each with its own little outside space and view of the lake. You can go swimming, watch birds and just relax. Both Frank and Daniella managed to create this wonderful place and make you feel at home. And if you are into birding, Frank offers tours and advise and you can go visit the two bird hides he built, one at the Quinta, the other close to Santa Clara a Velha.

6 months agoSuch an amazing location to relax for a couple of days.. the lake is lovely and refreshing.. we spent there 4 days with our kids.. the owners are super sweet and relaxed!

a year agoWe were able to enjoy Paradise in Portugal thanks to Franck's hospitality. The place is amazing! Heated pool (31 degrees!), magnificent lake with the possibility of paddleboarding and canoeing. I highly recommend it!
