An absolutely unique place – a true gem of Palawan. I highly encourage everyone to spend at least 2-3 nights on Darocotan. You'll quickly find the lack of internet a plus, and this detox from everyday life will be truly special. I'm also thrilled that it's adults-only and wonderfully quiet. The outstanding cuisine (I never expected it to be so good on such a tiny island), the cohesive staff, the fantastic activities, and the bungalows right on the beach are also worth mentioning.

Dryft Camp is beautifully and peacefully situated in nature. The toilets and showers are very clean, and the staff is generally friendly. Important points to consider before booking: • Booking.com correctly states "no internet" – unfortunately, we overlooked this when booking. Additionally, there is no cell phone reception. Anyone needing to book additional accommodations, transfers, or flights while traveling should definitely factor this in. • What bothered us: Yoga teachers and staff had Wi-Fi at their tables, used it for FaceTime and personal matters, and shared it with colleagues, while we urgently needed it for essential bookings and were denied access. • No table service at breakfast and no napkins. • Payment is only possible in cash or digitally (PayPal, Revolut), no physical credit or debit cards. The camp's concept is to be close to nature and peaceful. However, the handling of the internet seemed inconsistent, as it was used internally but not available to guests. • ... • • • • • ⸻ Note – Dos Playa Eco Camp (separate, not part of Dryft Camp) • Dos Playa Eco Camp offers Wi-Fi (Starlink). • Distance from Dryft Camp: approximately a 25-minute walk. • Very good food, especially the pasta 🍝.

I recently stayed two nights at this accommodation and, unfortunately, the experience was negative. I had booked a tent, but upon arrival, I was sent to the far end of the campsite to something that wasn't a tent at all, but a completely open hut. During the night, spiders, cockroaches, and other insects got in, making it impossible to rest. We asked for a change and were told they would do it the next day. That first night, my partner and I ended up sleeping on two chairs in the restaurant, which is completely unacceptable for accommodation that we pay for. The following day, after constantly chasing after the staff for answers, they finally moved us to the tent we had paid for from the start. There was a complete lack of communication: they didn't inform us, they didn't explain things, and they didn't show any real interest in guest complaints. Breakfast is adequate, but very basic. The signs advertise fruit, but in practice, they serve two tiny slices of pineapple and watermelon. If it's just for show, they shouldn't advertise it. The prices are exorbitant and completely disregard the service we received. When we left, there was no acknowledgment whatsoever, even though they knew we spent a night sleeping in chairs. I had read that this place is only interested in money, and sadly, that was exactly the impression I got. Good luck 🍀

We travel 1 month across Philippines and the 4 days we spent at Dryft camp were for sure the best days ever! Everything was beyond perfect. - transfer from and to El Nido was organized by the staff and was great (minivan, in time and safe. Staff help guests with luggage). - the place itself is amazing: all the structures are built with wood/natural material and are inspired by nature itself. The second we arrived we removed our shoes and literally forgot them for 4 days - going around barefoot was perfectly safe! We had the feeling of living in a fairy tale. From concept to comfort our Hive was amazing! Bathrooms/shower are shared but there are several. Be prepared to shower in hut with a lot of space and with feets in the sand (we loved that so much!). Pressure of water was good and don't had any problem washing long hairs. - food: AWESOME. Every meal they propose 6-7 different dishes that are super tasty, full of color and healty. Prices are more than honest. Best place where we eat in whole Philippines! - activities: Cristina and Yana have bene amazing and we will neve forget them. We did yoga every morning, tried calesthenics for the first time and have a magical sound bath esperience. The place where you do activities is a platform in the middle of the jungle close to the see and the vibes there are really MAGICAL. It's difficult to describe the emotion we felt and for sure never forget! - sea/beach: 50 m away from the hives and is beautiful! If there is wind it can be a little bit wavy/poor visibility. But if you walk 10-15 min to reach the other side of the island the water there is literally as a pool, clear and calm, and there is also a nice wreckship to go snorkel! - staff: all the people working there are so kind, gentle and nice. They really put their heart in what they do and they love their work. There are also some dogs and cats that live in the camp and the staff take care of them (sterilized, take them to the vet for shots, quality food, ...). This for us meant a lot. Dryft camp was not only a holiday for us. It was an experience that opened our heart and our eyes. Be prepared to no internet connection - the real connection here is with yourself and other people. We feel so grateful for the vibes and the energy of that magical place! Once again thanks to all the staff!
