I had the most amazing time in little corn island, and Lighthouse hotel was part of the highlight. Here you have the mostly welcoming and friendly staffs, Barbara was so lovely and we always chat like friends. Fred was also super nice and helpful! Stephanie makes the best cinnamon roll on the Island. The hotel offers a nice open place to practice yoga, including free yoga mats. I loved the hammocks, the stunning view, the food, the dogs… everything! The room was very clean and I didn’t have trouble with mosquitoes. I would come back and stay longer! 3 nights wasn’t enough at all!

Our week at The Lighthouse Retreat on Little Corn Island was incredible, thanks to Stephanie and her lovely family. The cabins were beautiful, clean, and nestled in a peaceful location, with comfy beds. When a couple of minor issues arose with our original cabin, Stephanie quickly upgraded and moved us without hesitation, ensuring everything was flawless. Her cooking was outstanding - each meal was fresh, delicious, and prepared with so much care. When a couple of us fell ill, Stephanie even went out of her way to make a comforting homemade soup. We loved the fresh flowers left in our cabins each day. The entire experience was made unforgettable by the warm, welcoming atmosphere created by Stephanie. They worked tirelessly to make us feel at home, always going above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect stay. If you’re looking for a tranquil and restorative retreat, I can’t recommend The Lighthouse enough. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing Stay at the Lighthouse Hotel and Little Corn island. I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Lighthouse and I can confidently say it was an incredible experience! If you’re a solo traveler looking for a safe and welcoming place, I highly recommend this hotel. From the moment I arrived, I felt secure in this gated property, which is meticulously organized and well-managed. The staff took care of everything, including planning all my tours, making my stay completely stress-free. A special shoutout to Stephanie for her culinary expertise—her seafood curry made with fresh coconut milk was absolutely the best dish I had on the island! The hotel is just a 10-minute walk up the hill, providing not only a good workout but also stunning views. The breakfast was delightful, with a variety of options that fueled my days of exploration. What I loved most was the lush greenery surrounding the property, with palm trees and hammocks everywhere to relax and unwind. It’s far enough from the noisy town, allowing for a peaceful escape from the crowds. Overall, the Lighthouse is the perfect place for anyone seeking a serene getaway. I can’t wait to return!

We left with mixed feelings about our stay. We feel uncomfortable leaving a review that isn’t entirely positive. However, we believe in being honest, and personally, I would have appreciated reading this beforehand. The Lighthouse Retreat is beautifully designed, with lovely cabins. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Stephanie, the chef (and intermediary between the owners). She is a true islander and someone who always brought a smile to our faces. We chose The Lighthouse Retreat because of the peace and calm it claims to offer. They also advertise that children are not allowed to stay, which implies that tranquility is guaranteed. Unfortunately, we had six very poor nights of sleep. The main reason was the roosters surrounding us. They would start crowing consistently between 3:15 and 4:00 a.m., followed by sporadic bursts from 5:00 a.m. until around 8:00 a.m. We are quite accustomed to different environments and understand that animals are part of the culture. We respect that because, after all, we are guests in the country. However, we don’t understand why a “retreat” would also keep its own roosters, which were literally crowing right in front of our cabin and caused the most disturbance (even with earplugs in). Is this a luxury problem? Absolutely! But in this case, we specifically chose to relax in luxury at The Lighthouse Retreat (what’s in a name), for which you pay a significant amount. We did mention our poor sleep to Stephanie, and while she was sympathetic, she is merely the intermediary and does not make management decisions. We believe that The Lighthouse Retreat is a misleading name. A retreat implies peace and relaxation, with facilities to support this. A good night’s sleep (or at least a normal one) is a critical part of that experience. Should you wish to provide a response, we are open to it. You have our contact details.

The lighthouse was a wonderful and beautiful stay. We went back in November and felt so relaxed and connected in their cabins. It’s quiet and serene and tranquil and each name on the cabin is pretty suitable for what you’ll experience. We were greeted by coconut water and a quaint adorable room set up. The food was great (but a bit more expensive than other areas on the island). The service was friendly. I didn’t see much of the water “view” advertised but my boyfriend said he saw just a glimpse from the high ground where it’s located (maybe I’m short)…However, that’s not to say the location isn’t beautiful and worth the stay! It’s high on the hill (be warned if you don’t want to climb uphill daily but it’s worth it). You walk through a canopy of palm trees and flowers to rest in hammocks and have gorgeous cabins to relax. I’d definitely recommend it! My only recommendation was that at times communication was a bit confusing- talk to your guests a bit more in depth about how to pay/sign up for daily outings and other amenities offered. We either didn’t take advantage or didn’t know the whole process of making it happen (which they happily helped us navigate but I’m sure was annoying on their end later for our mistakes).
