Palmaïa is a Wellness Resort on a beautiful beach, where you can vacation while living a healthy lifestyle. Vacation does not have to equal over-indulgence, in fact, if you eat from our more than 200+ recommended dishes at our six food locations, as much as you want, you will probably lose weight.

We have 234 well appointed suites whose design reflects the textures and colors of nature that surround you. We have a beautiful Spa in the jungle that is as magical and mystical as the medicine-men and women who take care of our guests. We are also child-friendly, where children can gather at our children’s club called Awen, based on Waldorf principles, we teach art, creativity and connection to nature.

Oceanfront Suites

Immerse yourself in mindful luxury. All oceanfront private king suites to family suites are designed to make you relax and feel connected to the natural elements within and around Palmaïa. Respecting nature, all suites are free of animal products choosing compassion over violence, as reflected in our Principles.

The 4 Houses of AïAWellness

The Nourishing Biome is a unique food program only available at Palmaïa, where everything you eat is designed for optimal health. Instead of dictating what you should eat, we simplify by removing the most toxic ingredients in the modern food system. This empowers you to freely experiment and enjoy healthy food options.

The Architects of Life programming includes more than 50 holistic and health activities carried out every week by our in-house and visiting guides. AïAWellness is designed to include an integration structure around the program which includes one-on-one* sessions with our Guides as well as the support of all our Community.

The Rituals of Sound create casual gatherings for this purpose, held at beautiful locations where deep beats nourish the soul. No wellness experience can be complete without the use of energy, frequency and sound as part of the healing process.

The House of AïA ignites the invisible divide between what you believe and what is possible, reigniting the belief in Magic that you lost as a child. It is your house, the place where you gravitate to and feel comfortable during every step of your journey. It is your connection to oneness and nature that, once established, will be your guide to divinity – the life path you were designed to follow. Only you will know the moment you enter The House of AïA

Atlantis Spa

Atlantis Spa emerges as a mystical sanctuary nestled among ancient rock formations, lush jungle, natural cenotes and endemic mangroves. Within this oasis, the ancient wisdom of indigenous healing is practiced by skilled medicine-men and women whose knowledge in many cases has been passed down through generations. A magical resort- not your typical all inclusive. The meals are magnificent. They offer meats, seafood and cheese additions for non vegan. The presentation is remarkable. Hand crafted cocktails, heavenly views and sparkling pools all around. Unique spa experiences and yoga or meditation classes daily.

This was our second time going to Palmaïa, which is a very special place and experience. It’s not a regular “all inclusive” resort. It’s a magical wellness retreat. This time was unfortunately disrupted by parents that can’t control their kids and that were more preoccupied with the signature cocktails then respect for others. But the staff, as usual, went out of its way to try to make the stay as peaceful as possible. If you’re looking for a “fun party time” please don’t go there. You’ll ruin the experience for everyone. If you’re a decent human being that can control his well behaved kid, and if you yourself are not a self centred person, then you must absolutely visit Palmaïa. It’s like nothing else in the world. Go there with an open mind and heart and allow yourself to be submerged into the wellness state of mind. Wake up early, do the workshops that call you, talk softly, take time to breathe and listen to nature around you. You’ll be changed for the better. All this while enjoying unbelievably incredible service from the nicest people on earth! Delicious food and drinks, magnificent settings and all around peace and tranquility! Again, don’t spoil this treasure by treating it as a Riu, you’ll end up only cheating yourself out of the time of your life. We will 100% be back.

    Overview
A lush, adults‑and‑family‑friendly all‑inclusive on Mexico’s Riviera Maya, Palmaïa delivers a serene blend of jungle and beachfront, healthy‑focused cuisine, and boutique‑style rooms. Our family’s first all‑inclusive—and first time in the area—found it worth the splurge for peaceful pools, spacious accommodations, and plentiful plant‑based options, with easy access to the livelier Sandos resort next door. Pros * Seamless arrival & check‑in: Private SUV transfer booked through the hotel; prompt welcome with cold towels and drinks; golf‑cart orientation tour of the grounds. * Comfortable, well‑appointed rooms: Ocean‑facing suites with separate kid’s room, stocked fridge, large tub, and eco‑friendly toiletries. * Grounds & amenities: Uncrowded pools (though cool), shaded beachfront beds, jungle paths, cenote swim spot, and complimentary bikes (kids’ sizes too). * Healthy‑focused dining: Multiple restaurants offering predominantly plant‑based menus (plus fish/meat add‑ons), kids’ menu including some “classic” options, standout spots like Charley’s Tacos and Su Casa veggie burger. * Free room service: Available outside restaurant hours, offering quick, no‑extra‑cost meals. Green smoothie is a hit. * Access to Sandos: Enjoy the adjacent resort’s water park, teen club, late‑night café, sports activities, and more varied evening entertainment. * Relaxed vibe & courteous service: Friendly staff overall; some servers remembered preferences; no high‑pressure upselling on activities or tipping. Cons * Pool temperature: Feels cool—great for hot days but brisk for leisurely relaxation. * Limited self‑serve snacks: Outside the taco truck and café hours, options are room service only (though it’s free). Dries fruits and nuts provided in room. * Variable service consistency: A few beach/pool servers occasionally forgot orders despite tipping. * Nomadic guide system: All coordination via WhatsApp; no face‑to‑face. * No teen programming: Few on‑site activities for tweens/teens—most head to Sandos for evening fun. * Premium price tag: Worth it if you prioritize tranquility and varied plant‑based cuisine. Tips * Check around for best rates. * Reserve popular restaurants (and spa services) in advance via your guide. * Bring your own sunscreen and bike helmets if desired. * Don’t miss exploring the cenote and exploring some classes. Would recommend for families and couples seeking a quiet, health‑focused retreat—especially plant‑based diners—happy to trade a bit of nightlife for calm, uncrowded luxury.

I deeply deeply enjoyed my trip to this hotel and I recommended it to friends and family wholeheartedly! It was such a calming, lovely experience! There is so much to explore, they have such great facilities, every staff member is warm hearted and they take excellent care of everything! I will most definitely come back!

We stayed at the hotel for my husbands 40th birthday celebration, and will be going back this year with my parents. Often all-inclusive resorts don’t put peak attention into food but Palaïa restaurants blew us out of the water, they were so so delicious, and beautiful. Additionally the taco cart kept us going back each day as they offer really unique options and sitting on the beach is special. The only food that left us wanting more was the room service, the food we ordered to the room was lack luster. The spa is world class, award winning and MAGICAL. We did one or two services daily and are so happy we did. Massages, reiki, facials, energy ceremonies…. Each treatment was better than the last. The spa staff remembered us which made us feel welcomed and very much in community. We attended the free group sessions as well which just added to the experience, when we go next we plan to schedule time with the astrologer asap to make sure we can meet with them as well. Meals are vegan but you can very easily add dairy or meat.

Only guests who have booked can leave a review.

Words from the founder Alex Ferri: If you consider coming to Palmaïa, I urge you to have an open mind, be willing to experiment and be compassionate with yourself. We have created a resort meant to awaken something inside, offering a range of experiences to boost your health, help you form new habits and satisfy your curiosity. You just need to come and live the experience. We know it is not easy to change habits. Because we believe that restrictive systems don’t work, we offer you constraints here. We are probably the only place in the world where you can eat as much as you wish and likely weigh less by the end of your stay. There is really no place in the world where health is so effortless.

I hope you feel what many of us feel at Palmaïa. The energy here is certainly different and profound. I believe it has to do with the fact that we occupy sacred Mayan land, a place where three large underwater rivers join in the mangrove area at the back of the hotel. There, they flow into the ocean under the Rituals Deck, past the AïA sculpture, and into the ocean… a perfect metaphor for what I know will happen to you when you visit. Above all, I hope that you can come to Palmaïa and live a beautiful experience, while finding the path to your healing journey. The solution is not always near or easy, but the important thing is to find the beginning of the path. It feels like I have done so much work, yet the journey still goes on. We seek never ending knowledge and learn—some say forever. I like to think that everything happens when it has to happen, because divinity loves us all and love is forever.
