Explore Taiwan’s unique countryside and surfing beaches
A surf and yoga trip located in a small coastal town “Kenting” in the south of Taiwan. This retreat will cater for a minimum of 6 people to a maximum of 10 people.
Our program:
- Daily yoga classes with Australian qualified yoga instructor: Brad is an Australian veteran. 15 years military police journey.
- Supporting local producers and vendors where you will also experience Taiwanese traditional cuisines and street food.
- Healthy, gourmet breakfast and dinners by world-class professional chef Steffi, serving contemporary Australian cuisines combining Taiwanese ingredients.
- Our local surf tour guide, Gavin will take you to explore his secret surf spots in south and east of Taiwan.
- Private accommodation with swimming pool: Locate in south of Taiwan, Henchun, a private 8 bedroom accommodation hidden in the mountains with ocean view and stunning sunset.
- Historic trails: The 8 kilometre-long Alangyi Historic Trail is a path that travels along the wild and beautiful south-eastern coast of Taiwan. Formerly a route frequented by Taiwan aboriginal tribes for hunting and trade. The track saddles both Taitung and Pingtung counties.
- Historic hot spring: Discovered the clear, centurial hot spring at Sichonxi. In ancient time, the stream Sichongxi due to the people had to walk along the stream and crossed the stream four times for going in and out the village. This stream is in a sedimentary rock area, and the sodium bicarbonate springs well up from the ground. The quality of spring in this area is mild and temperature is between 50-60 degrees centigrade mostly, also is one of the most well-known hot springs in Taiwan.
The location:
Henchun Township is located on the southern tip of Taiwan, where surrounding stunning blue sea, white sand beaches, beautiful, forested areas, scenic mountains with wonderfully tropical climate, just like Bali. It is without a doubt, a must visit place in Taiwan.
Henchun is also located in Kenting National Park. Its combination of sunshine, incredible natural scenery and chill vibes results in it being one of the island’s most popular tourist destinations. Every year attracting millions of visitors to absorb the sunshine at beaches, hiking through the nation park’s forest recreation area, also historically track cross two counties.
Kenting is also a well-known surf town. If Byron Bay represents Australian most popular surf town, then Kenting represents Taiwanese most popular surf town. There are multiple surf beaches, Dawan is in main area of Kenting, sitting in front of a luxury resort, Chateau Hotels & resorts). Nanwan, the first beach you will see as you drive into Kenting. It’s most famous surf beach in Kenting.
Daily schedule:
(surf schedule can change depending on weather)
- 7am to 8am fresh house make breakfast
- 8am to 9am yoga session
- 9am to 3pm tour in town/surf tour/exploring south of Taiwan
- 6pm to 8pm dinner in accommodation
- 8pm evening walk

How to get there:
Fly into Taoyuan(Taipei) airport. Take high speed train to Kaoshiung. We will provide shuttle bus from Kaohsiung train station to the accommodation.

I'm Taiwanese, love the outdoors, surfing, snowboarding, fishing, hunting, cooking, and have travelled and worked as a professional chef in Hong Kong, Canada, and Australia. Currently, I am focused on personal wellness development, eating well, meditation, and yoga. Also learning permaculture agriculture to implement "farm to table" sustainable environmental strategy. My co-host Brad is an Australian veteran with 15 years in the military police, and is a qualified yoga instructor.
